I know this isn’t exactly the point of this article, but anyone else getting a look at this year’s spring training hat? Way better than last year’s. Can’t wait to pick one up!

Yep, the images for all clubs were released earlier today. A nice touch with the Grapefruit/Cactus logos. And definitely an improvement for the Nats after two straight seasons of the solid navy blue.

Are you there now?

gonatsgo1's avatar

No, we go down at the end of the month. Our largest group so far.

In addition to the regular games, we'll see the Nats and Astros play Venezuela in tune ups for the WBC.

And of course looking forward to the Okeechobee Steak House. -:)

And on days off you can go fishin’ for gators in the Lake. (^_~). Looking forward to the photos of you, Blake and Toboni out on the water.

Shout out to Steve Adams who had the Nats signing Miko and his ERA of 5. MLBTR is still the best place for MLB news and analysis so spend another $30 on them. Congrats on a job well done although he did have the price tag at 4m so we can save at least one million dollars for Mark's grandkids' inheritance.

Now, I hope Miko is convincing the kids that getting the measles can be a wonderful experience and that vaccines are best avoided. Will he tell the doubters in DC to eat sh*t like he did in STL? Personally, I hope Miko sucks lemons and Alvarez wins the job. Miko, go retire you bum. Love, Mike Rizzo's son.

Hey, Fredo, you made it. At least I think that's you. The poster formerly known as 2x monikers ago? 3x?

Indeed and lovely to see you here.

Huh. I looked everywhere to find something about Mikolas and measles. Didn't find a thing. Maybe you could enlighten us. He did say at one point he wished he didn't get the COVID vaccine, and that was when Goldschmidt and Arenado of the Cards couldn't enter Canada because they didn't get it. . . . but he did get it. If he did say people shouldn't get vaccinated against measles, that would be horrible. Can you show us where he said that?

In the meantime, I hope he pitches well for us.

welcome to native DC and Nats fan, I look forward to occasionally jousting and often agreeing with you here too.

His support for MAGA politics may not be welcome in a clubhouse where players have to wonder if they can get to the ballpark without being detained because of the color of their skin. His outspokenness will wear out his welcome pretty quick.

Most ballplayers, as far as I understand, have conservative politics. But most also keep their politics to themselves. I'm not sure it is a clubhouse matter as much as it is a front-office issue. Management doesn't want such things in the news, although people like Doo can get away with it.

Yeah, the first thing I want to know about any baseball player is their politics 🤡

Hopeful for some veteran leadership here... we'll see pretty quick if he's got the stuff against rosters that aren't ours...

It saddens me that so many of these athletes are so narrow-minded. If we're going to have a veteran in the clubhouse, it would be nice if it were somebody who could enlighten them a bit.

I thought that Trevor Williams was our designated punching bag--his injuries must be worse than previously thought. But at least Trevor earned respect on our team. Maybe management has a five-year plan that includes four (more) extremely lean years. Who's next to sign, Livo?

MASN is in the 8th inning of Nationals Clailssic of Max's 2015 no-hitter against Pittsburgh. Great memories from being at that game (my mom's last game she attended in person - rip).

Great start to Nats Journal. Looking forward to the coverage

Glad to be reading your work again, Mark. Good luck with this.
