IMO, Time for Granillo to join Rutledge. Also past due for several promotions at several levels. KIng >AAA, Petry>AA, Willets>A+, Morales>Nats, Wallace>AA,

I doubt it. This group is going to look at more than just the slash line to determine if a prospect is ready to be promoted. They are building a development system where players graduate after mastering certain skills and require better competition to grow. Unfortunately we can't get all the advanced statcast data the team has that shows what pitches they saw with what spin rates at what velocity and what they did with it. We don't want what happened to Crews where he probably could have spent all of 2024 at AA Harrisburg.

The Nationals have a real middle infield logjam, which makes some of these promotions tougher than they look. King has taken a big step forward this year and is doing really well in AA, so he feels like the next guy to move.

Morales is the bigger question. They need a right handed bat, and he’s done everything he can at Rochester but when they did bring up a first baseman they brought ou Chaparro which makes me think Morales a converted third baseman may not be ML ready for first base so he would be DH. The issue is roster flexibility. Tena has been excellent off the bench as a PH, and Mead gives them a versatile RH option with some pop and plays multiple positions. That leaves Weimer the second best defensive OF, and he has no options.

Maybe Vivas?
