For Crews, another good swing that finally produced a great result
After a string of loud outs in recent weeks, Dylan Crews at long last launched a 432-foot homer Saturday to help lead the Nationals in Arizona
PHOENIX – Dylan Crews has been crushing baseballs his whole life, so he knows the sensation of the perfect swing at the perfect pitch and the perfect contact that creates the perfect result, all of those sensations coming instantaneously before the ball has even begun its flight path.
“It’s one of the best feelings in the world when you can connect on a baseball like that and hit it for a home run,” he said. “It’s one of the best feelings ever. It’s what you work for every day.”
Crews has been working nonstop for days, for weeks, for months really, to try to find the formula that produces that feeling on a consistent basis. The moments of success have been fleeting for the Nationals outfielder, despite the insistence from all involved that the process has been on target.
