You're right about that. That is what gives me pause about the trade deadline. If Toboni is going to trade our major leaguers for somebody else's "magic beans," his professional vision has to be spot on. As you said, so far his track record is mixed.
Lorenzen is 3-9, 6.22 ERA, 1.772 WHIP. So the Nats will either shell him for seven runs in 1-⅔ innings, or he'll throw another no-hitter at them. Because the baseball gods are funny that way.

I was at Cease’s no-hitter as well. Told my son in the 4th inning, “this guy might pitch a no-hitter”.
Funny - he was in Toronto last night and went to the Blue Jays game, started by Cease. Texts me in the first inning: “no no-hitter tonight” 😂

The Bennett trade really irks me
Yeah, go figure. One of those Rizzo archetypal big pitchers he was so fond of. And now successful for another team.
Same. I was confident Bennett would be an effective pitcher. Not one with high speed velocity but one with knowledge and control of his pitching.
