In all likelihood, the Nats poor home record will regress toward the mean as the season progresses. That is, of course, good news. but it does not necessarily mean it will begin tonight, unfortunately. But it might.
I never like it when Nunez isn’t out there. The defense just runs cleaner with him on the field. When he needs a day off pair it with a strikeout pitcher. With a contact guy he needs to be in the field. Hopefully Viva proves me wrong.
My wife will not like this lineup either, and for similar reasons: her favorite players “Booper” (Joey Wiemer) and “Care Bear” (Keibert Ruiz) are neither of them starting. I told her that Ruiz was a lousy catcher with a bad contract and she said “I like that his name is Care Bear and it’s not our money so why not be happy for his family?” And so yeah, that’s how things are here.
New relief arm on his way, according to Spencer Nusbaum. And the AAA shortstop Zack Short has been shipped out so the minor league infield carousel is about to begin. I’m guessing Seaver King is being promoted to Rochester and Ronny Cruz is going to AA Harrisburg…
Really annoyed by the unprofessional way mlb broadcasts the Nats. Virtually no pregame show for away games. Never know when to tune in for pregame home games. How long are those shows? When do they start. They are wasting Alexa’s talents.
She just did an interview with Jason Sinnarajah(sp?), VP for business affairs. He is a stuffed shirt, spouting off empty, meaningless, corporate BS. I doubt he knows which end of the bat to hold or which way to run the bases. Don’t interview him again.
That was ruled a wild pitch by the official scorer, but I do wonder if it will be changed to a passed ball. Regardless, MIllas didn't seem to have any idea where the ball was, which is never good.
I guarantee the Nationals will win if they score more points than the Brewers tonight ⚾️⚾️⚾️🐥🙋🏼♀️
You mean runs?!? lol
I want the same thing every time the Nats play: some clean defense, a roaring offense and some decent pitching. GO NATS!!
Here’s to tastes that are simple and consistent!

Indeed!

This is a good point.
I agree but Vivas is hitting 300 and good power. I wish Nuñez can improve to a nearer OBP of 330 one day but the time flies
As we have seen, his defense and mental lapses can require a good bit of offense to overcome and his one hit every game doesn’t cover it in my opinion
Vivas is tied for first on the team in Outs Above Average and second in Fielding Run Value. He is also second in Base Run Value.

😂😂😂
I couldn't agree more. Maybe Butera is thinking to put him in later in the game. Hope so.
So you’re saying there’s a chance…😀

We are underway on a very comfortable, 66-degree Friday evening on South Capital Street.
Not a great pitch but I think that was a passed ball.
Defense yet again...
How much longer do we need to be subjected to Drew Millas’ ineptitude?
He sure ain't in there for his bat...
And his glove and ABS challenges ain’t that great, either.
You are correct, sir. And in the 2nd inning. One left.
It seems like there’s a blown challenge from him every time he’s in there.

Riley Adams, come home please!
Fortunately I guess, they only got one in this first inning. But behind to most guys is not a good look.
This kid is throwing pure smoke. Can he keep up throwing 102 for multiple innings?
Good AB by Mead they need to get this kid to throw a lot of pitches.
CJ helped with that.
Interesting chest protector design on Contreras...
