The quest to get to 500 seems more unlikely than an Everest climb. At this point, can’t say it’s a coincidence they come up way short when the opportunity arises.
Just saw an interesting fact about former twice-Nat Josh Bell:
Josh Bell stole his first base since Sept. 27, 2018. The 978-game gap between steals was the longest for a batter since at least 1900, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.
I don't know about you guys, but I just assumed Young was going to rob that homer. Obviously, it was hit too far for him to have any chance. But that shows you just how incredible he is that we're shocked when he can't make that play.

I was going to say 2019, until I remembered they were well under .500 in May and didn't reach .500 until the end of June. So maybe 2018?
25-18 over all and 11 - 10 at home after a 5-3 home win against the Yanks on May 15, 2018.
May 14, 2024 (so 2 years ago today) they beat the White Sox 6-3 in game 1 of a doubleheader to get to 20-20.
Lost game 2, and the next 4 after that, and never got to .500 again.

Just heard on WTOP Radio (103.5 FM) sports report that Nats game would be on 1580AM today. Don’t know if that is correct.
WTOP radio always promotes the AM station instead of 106.7 The Fan. I just checked and the game is on 106.7.
