Hope starting James in left and Crews in right (instead of vice-versa) works out!

I'm looking for a really good outing by Cade, the 1st in MLB offense to show why they are there, and some continued cleaner defense, the phillies to lose their 3rd in a row so the Nats can retake sole possession of 2nd place in the NL East.

Well, really the only thing I am looking for is a 4 GAME SERIES WINNING CURLY W!! GO NATS!!

Phillies are off today so it is all on us either a half game up on them or down. I'm with you on a curly W today.

I hope philles go on a 10 game losing streak, and the NATS GO ON A 10 GAME WINNING STREAK!!

I like that thinking!

Generally, bringing someone up from AAA and batting him third would make me wonder, especially with a L/R/R/L lineup, but after all of Butera’s successful lineups, I’ll gladly defer to him. I guess right now there are two constants in the lineup: Wood batting first and C.J. batting fourth. Getting a well pitched game by Cavalli would be extra helpful too.

I would bat Chaparro farther down in the order. Put Ruiz or Young third in the order.

I like going L/R/L/R as much as possible so I would've moved C.J. up a spot but Butera is somehow leading the league in runs so it's hard to argue with him.

Short term radar much less promising than yesterday. Looks like rain starting around 5pm and continuing through the evening. Best chance is rain remains light enough to get the game in.

I hate the Mets for obvious reasons but another one is that their games are blacked out for me unless I use one of those skeevy VPNs that scramble my IP address, which I have hesitated to do. Anybody here use that kind of service?

First pitch in just a few minutes, and we're here at the park and it's not going to be remotely near a sellout the way it has been the last few days. Looks like the New Yorkers have mostly gone home.

Does it seem like they will start near 4pm??

They're exchanging lineup cards as we speak. Bev and I are both happy that we wore sweatshirts today cuz it's a little chilly and breezy here today in 216.

Tell them to get the bats going!!

I hope they play!!

Raining steadily out in MD but sounds like they're good to go on S. Capitol for a 4:05 first pitch.

I can get behind that first inning!

Soto with a nice leisurely jog down to first.

I love opposing pitcher giving walks! GO DYLAN CREWS!!

GLH aka NatsFan4Ever's avatar

I like the bases loaded on 3 walks with DAYLEN LILE coming to the plate!!

GLH aka NatsFan4Ever's avatar

Well, that's disappointing. Not a quality AB by Lile. At least their guy had to throw 20+ pitches more than Cade!!
