When we got our first Shiba Inu, my neighbor ( a med student) asked to borrow her. He said she was a chick magnet. I guess chicks dig the long ball and dogs!
Haha! My uncle said the same thing but he and his wife had a Siamese cat. The cat was trained to walk on a leash and traveled with them camping to the beach, the mountains, etc.
I was wondering if switching to a wood bat was more of an adjustment for him than others. Hearing that horrible sound of aluminum ringing out during the college World Series drove me nuts
Question I've had watching these Tampa Bay games: Any ball that bounces in the outfield appears to kick up some water. Like every game? Is this a domed stadium and what's up with that?
But there is a more practical difference, too. The warning track is the same, only with Safeshell (crushed walnut shells) scattered on the surface. But the turf is now backfilled by coconut husks, rather than rubber pellets. The Rays expect that will lead to “truer” bounces, more like what they see on natural grass fields, and the new surface will slow down balls that moved more quickly in previous years.
Nunez is such an important part of this team! And I still like him at 2nd instead of short. For whatever reason 2nd base has been in way more impactful situations this year.
ESPN Matchup Predictor is obviously picking the Rays, but only giving them a 51% chance. It’s gonna be a good one under the tent! Let’s go Nats!

We once had two dachshunds. Loved them, but wow they are stubborn. 😂

I have a dachshund and Boston terrier who compete to see which of them can be most mulish. It's neck and neck.

It's not water. Probably little rubber pellets or sand or something else they use to soften the ground on the artificial turf.
OK! It seemed odd to me that it would be water -- that would be quite a water-logged playing field!
It's not water, it's the field turf - there are tiny rubber pellets in the turf used as infill to make it feel and act more like grass.

Ho-hum another Nunez steal
Nunez is such an important part of this team! And I still like him at 2nd instead of short. For whatever reason 2nd base has been in way more impactful situations this year.
I've said it a lot - if he can get his OBP to at least .330-.340, he'll be an all star.
He's at .315 right now.
Fans need to appreciate Nunez is a special player. If they can get him for average as opposed to power, he can become a genuine All Star.
That's TWO big-time wall scrapers for James this series. Seems like he hits it the farthest into those corners out there.
