Really really hoping James gets it going again tonight

Positive mental health is deciding to give the “there is no spoon” treatment to the last three days

PSawyi's avatar

Keibert Ruiz also playing for the Orioles now?

peter wood's avatar

Trying to collect 2 paychecks:))

PSawyi's avatar

Nothibg wrong with that.

Best way for the bullpen to get back on track is to face some of their own guys! I just hope Young, Nunez, and Ruiz don't know any secrets.

Carl Rosendorf's avatar

Where is Garcia, 2nd night in a row???

peter wood's avatar

Good question!!

The O's are starting a lefty. Garcia will be in later.

Interesting lineup card, for them O's🤔🤪

Can't watch tonight, like James Wood I need a break

Sorry for the glitch in the Orioles lineup. I didn't realize it hadn't saved after I finished typing it out (over last night's Nats lineup) before hitting the publish button. It's fixed now!

We love you Mark

No worries

I know this is a minor issue compared to our bullpen woes and Wood’s slump, but I’m always perplexed whenever I see Chaparro (or Tena, frankly) in the three spot. Or am I missing something?

Tegwar's avatar

If there on the team they need to play every once in awhile.

Athan Manuel's avatar

Right, but hit him sixth or seventh, not third

Tegwar's avatar

Butera has probably the craziest lineups I've ever seen but the Nationals lead baseball in runs so it's hard to complain.

Mark's avatar

Chaparo looks like a power hitter, is no more powerful than Nunez…

Crews is starting to come around. That's a positive. Hope it continues.

Steven Davidson's avatar

Did they call anyone else up? Aren’t there two spots available after the guy who started the other day and Varland got sent down? Lawrence was one call up, but shouldn’t there be another?

Anthony's avatar

He's pitched in four games for the Nats this year but I have no recollection of him. Looking at the stats doesn't inspire confidence.

MikeeFish's avatar

We all should be fortunate enough to have the apparent job security that Mitchell Parker has.

Steven Davidson's avatar

For June his WHIP is 2.44 and batters are hitting .439 against him

Ned Farquhar's avatar

And the definition of insane… doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. Nationals might want to take the hint.

LEE MCDOWELL's avatar

I presume it's an options issue. But if they option him, WHO WOULD CLAIM HIM???

Tegwar's avatar

Learn to pitch left handed. :-)

I kind of think he needs to confront his fear (which i assume is losing his job) before he can build back up into something useful.

If his fear was merely getting shelled, well he’s confronted that plenty.

Feels like one of those situations where we eventually part ways and then he re-emerges in a year or so and is pretty decent for another team.

nebco66's avatar

That thought came to me this afternoon. That would be our luck at this point.

Carl Rosendorf's avatar

Lefty smefty

Garcia against lefties still better than Andres

John walker's avatar

When I was at the game Wednesday I think it was there was a low throw Nasim made that Chapparro should’ve had but muffed. I then heard the fellow behind me say something I thought I’d never hear: “Their defense is so much better when Luis is in there.”

Marsh on Phillies must not be married, wife would never let him out of the house...

Looking like that

But darn,...he can hit

Tegwar's avatar

When you make 5.2 million a year woman don't seem to care as much. :-)

Mark's avatar

He could be in witness protection. Impossible to know what he looks like.

I am hungry! And the only thing that will satisfy that hunger is a CURLY W!!

John walker's avatar

Similarly, I’ve got a fever and rather than more cowbell the only cure is a Nats W!

Nats and O's are underway on a steamy, 83-degree Friday evening at Camden Yards.
