That's a good Nats lineup!

If it would stop spitting drizzle (it is supposed to) would be a nice day to get the series win! Even if it keeps spitting, would be nice to get the series win!😀

Looks like it’s raining in Baltimore, too, but it might stop sooner than in DC

Adley Rutschmann back in the lineup behind the dish and batting third. He was out with a concussion.

why don't the (cheap) owners tear up Griffin's contract, pay him twice as much, and get an option to resign him next year? For that matter, why not offer Abrams a huge contract?

The way I see it Toboni is waiting for other teams to make some offers for those guys - if he can get a crazy haul for one of them he’ll take it, and it would be bad management not to at least see what the market for them is

When Taboni is ready to start offering contract extensions he will have ownerships support, especially since the last two disastrous ones have expired, Corbin and Strass. Ownership signed off on those when requested and will again. The cheap tag is a cheap shot

Why would Griffin re-sign with the Nats before reaching free agency? Also, why would CJ Abrams, who already got a 5 million signing bonus when drafted and stands to make more each year under arbitration, re-sign with the Nats before testing the free agent market?

It takes two to tango, and even if the Lerners do lean cheap, why should any owner outbid themselves before knowing what the market would offer?

Almost couldn’t watch the last couple of innings last night, afraid that if the Nats lost, it was getting scary. But with eyes open, and a free hand to cover them should the 10th go awry, I persisted and happily watched the much needed victory. Now comes the wait and see for today’s game.

Hopey hopey hopey...This team can get in playoffs next year if the owners just spend a little money. Look at the team payroll and it tells the story: cheap cheap cheap. The Lerners are praying for a salary cap so that they can stay cheap cheap cheap.

This new/old team is very entertaining to watch. They’re hovering over and under 500. More over, lately! I don’t need to obsess about something that could maybe happen 3 months from now. I’ll be just fine with the day to day flow of baseball.

I’m at the game with my O’s-fan son. I hope he’s disappointed later. 😂

And the series finale is underway on an overcast, 76-degree Sunday afternoon at Camden Yards.

Had an invitation to some friends' house for swimming pool party. They leave the radio on so we can hear the game while swimming and drinking pina coladas.

Party has been postponed because of the rain. And now I have to watch the game on TV. Feel like that nasty spoiled girl in the VRBO commercial... "MY LIFE!!!"

Mark—JW and CJ are both showing similar signs to the offensive plummets last season. JW is chasing L/A Breaking balls no where near the SZ and taking a llot of in-the-zone strikes. To me he seems physically tired. CJ is following a similar track albeit anecdotally he seems to chasing/swinging at a lot of first pitches that are not strike…similar to JW’s L/A breaking balls. The most disturbing thing is it appears the oppo pitchers are intentionally pitching both JW and CJ that way suggests the analytics are clear and the oppo game is to exploit their current tendencies. JW needs to be patient and take his walks as he did earlier. CJ needs to get back being patient in the batter’s box. I am surprised the coaches are not being a bit more aggressive with both JW and CJ. It almost seems like the coaching staff is letting both players try to figure it out on their own😩😩.
