Man..too bad Cavalli or Griffin couldn’t start today. Winning on the 4th of July is always special, and those guy would provide the best chance.

Hope Littell can keep it in the yard.

Just score 15 runs. That ought to be enough.

The 9th inning is becoming the danger zone

I dunno, the Bucs can hit!!

peter wood's avatar

Hope the bats stay HOT!! Cuz the Bucs can hit too.

Wood is a lock for all stars, Griffin deserves to go but probably won't make it because of the rule that every team has to be represented

We are at the park right now indoors in the club area behind section 216. It looks like it's going to be a sellout.

LEE MCDOWELL's avatar

I sure don't see a sellout so far...

Bernie Gilbert's avatar

I just went into the club section inside section 216. Full of people.

LEE MCDOWELL's avatar

That's what I was wondering - are they here just not in their seats yet? They only missed Wood's towering blast and a bunch of Pirate bloops & bunts.

We're both in the club section bottom of the sixth and it's mobbed.

I hope that NATS BATS stay over 100° today. Some really good pitxhinging would be a bang today, too. GO NATS!! GET A CURLY W!!

Hope Palmquist can give us a couple good innings and that Good Littell shows up today.

Lineup change: Jacob Young has been scratched with left hand soreness, so Jose Tena takes over his spot in the lineup as DH, with James Wood moving into the field.

Disappointing to see the empty seats. I hope the park fills in with a late arriving crowd.

The Artemis astronauts threw out the ceremonial first pitches, a giant flag was unfurled for the national anthem and the Nats and Bucs are underway on a scorching, 93-degree Fourth of July in Washington, D.C.

The white uniforms look 🔥

But should feel cooler than the other colors.

Some bad miscommunication there. Millas threw down to second, Abrams wasn't covering, couldn't get the throw back to the plate in time to get the lead runner. Nats down 1-0.

LEE MCDOWELL's avatar

Almost looked like Reynolds at 2nd interfered with CJ's throw home.

Wood goes UPPER DECK!

peter wood's avatar

Us Woods can hit:))

cipherlockinexile's avatar

Bungled defending the double steal. Almost escaped without a run.

david behnke's avatar

CJ sleep walking through the first inning ?

cipherlockinexile's avatar

Possibly - or he thought the play was to let him steal second.

peter wood's avatar

With CJ ya never know:))

LEE MCDOWELL's avatar

Yeah, maybe he missed a throw thru sign?

Tegwar's avatar

Upper deck shot first pitch WOOD!

Mark Zuckerman's avatar

James Wood to the third deck in right field on the first pitch of the bottom of the first. Give the man a red seat.

Tegwar's avatar

He pulled that, he rarely does that.

cipherlockinexile's avatar

That ball was served up to him on a T. Rarely get a pitch like that.

Tegwar's avatar

Note to self don't throw 1st pitch fastball up and center of the plate to Wood.

First pitch HR for Mr James Wood!
