Hi Mark. Great story on the debut. Why is JY not in the lineup again? Is he more injured than we think? Crews has been ice cold (again…)

Thanks, I was about to ask the same questions.

My theory is that he is being held out to avoid further injury so that he can be an attractive aquisition for another team as part of a trade package.

Nats have a habit of trading, waiving, or DFAing my favorite outfielders: Michael A, Lane Thomas, Alex Call, Stone Garrett, etc.

What a season so far, I’d have been elated to hear were a game below .500 at the break last season. Will still be happy ish if we lose today, big picture the direction feels good

Huge Sunday crowd forming. Cool ASG giveaway tee. Who knew?

Quite the surprise! But already dated, since Griffen not on it 😀 Still, can’t beat the price…

Arrgh. Couldn’t get there in time for one.

I have another idea for the pitchers (which might be deployed due to only having 11 in all). Stay with the hot hand and don’t pull him prematurely. Bullpens are notoriously hot and cold anyway, so if one looks hot (like Cosgrove yesterday) let him ride!

People will excuse any losing as long as it exceeds their expectation, sorry this should have been the results LAST YEAR

I’m happy for the lad Ortiz, but his call up instead of Yohandy tells me the Nats are planning to make a BFD out of the Morales debut ala James, Crews and House: t shirts etc. Or maybe just that Ortiz is here for a while and they want Yohandy to keep playing every day. But I lean toward former.

Ortiz is probably up for just a day, unless he makes it impossible for him to be sent back down. They will need to send someone down and recall a reliever right after the break.
