Interested to see how JY looks in final week of ST

Is there any news on the regular season games being on cable TV (Xfinity in my case)?

I haven't seen anything new.

But as Mark reported in his latest podcast, the announcements for the cable systems will not be announced until just before regular season games begin.

In other words, maybe next week.

Props to you Mark our intrepid reporter and fearless leader, for getting anything written pregame much less such a cogent info packed report. Thank you for your service. You’re a superstar! I hope you get a good nights sleep. Sounds like you’ve earned it.

Not to be disrespectful but... how many ABs does JY really need to be ready to bat .220? ;)

Kidding aside, he demonstrated in his one game so far that his defense is in mid-season form. If his wrist is healthy, he's ready.

Thanks for the preview.

Slow luggage carousel in WPB? Been there, done that!

Another lineup tonight with mostly regulars. I sure how they show signs of life and getting on track!

Mature at bats against a guy who usually smokes us?? David Peterson has always been my least favorite pitcher to watch this team play against, he has our number hard during the regular season

Some good signs of life from the Nats lineup in the top of the first. James Wood ripped a 107.9 mph single to center. Jacob Young worked a seven-pitch walk. Andres Chaparro also walked. And Daylen Lile drove in a pair with a double down the first-base line.

Less encouraging signs: Dylan Crews, CJ Abrams and Luis Garcia Jr. each hit weak groundballs to prevent that rally from being much bigger.

Interesting to see CJ batting 6th. Is that the first time there this spring. I do love how Butera is doing a bunch of different things with positions and batting order this Spring.

The first two Nats relievers to take the mound tonight haven't exactly made compelling cases for themselves. Zach Penrod gave up a pair of doubles, a walk and a wild pitch during a two-run bottom of the first that required 24 pitches. Griff McGarry then gave up a towering home run to Cristian Pache on a hanging slider and a double to Carson Benge on a 96-mph fastball. He needed 23 pitches (14 strikes) to complete his inning.

Yeah, each time I've seen McGarry he's had trouble finding the strike zone.

Some haaaard contact on the plate today, against a very solid starter, gives good optimism as we approach opening day

Riley Adams. The maddening thing about Riley Adams is how he can drive in two runs just like that but then go 0-for-X for games on end.

Some nice swings, and some nice baserunning, from the Nats in the top of the fourth. CJ Abrams singled to right, then hustled from the get-go and went first-to-third on Luis Garcia Jr.'s single to center, with Garcia astutely taking second on the late throw to third. That put both guys in position to score on Riley Adams' sharp single to left. So the Nats have scored four runs in four innings off David Peterson. Also, James Wood has hit three baseballs over 103.4 mph in three at-bats so far. That's a good sign.

That ground out from Wood was smoked at 114 mph holy fazoli

The Mets commentary guy is brutally honest about the Nats. He really nailed the description of CJ Abrams.

Too bad SF wouldn’t take CJ for Bryce E. Be awesome to get Bryce back to the DMV.

At least Jacob Young can draw walks.

And steal a base.
