Genuinely how is Jorbit Vivas on this roster? I cannot watch it anymore. Wasted at bat after wasted at bat after wasted at bat. I can’t even lie, I knew we lost this game as soon as he was put in the lineup.
Varlan really wasn’t on tonight although that last pitch was really good. Inning was lost with the terrible at bats from Ruiz and Vivas. He didn’t throw either one of them a strike, and they both made out.
Gotta find the positives, they absolutely blew through their bullpen. Gonna have to attack early tomorrow, see who they’re going to have to throw out there
When you have runners on third with fewer than two outs, you have to put the ball in play. The Nationals failed to do that several times, and that was the difference in the game.
The bullpen deserves credit for keeping it close, although the Blue Jays hitters looked pretty bad to me. Hopefully that continues for the next two games.
Max still for sure has it upstairs. Pitched really smart, starting with the walk of Wood in the first. It”s why Toboni should trade for him — not for the arm but for the head!

Careful! I said something similar in the game thread and got shamed for being too negative lol
Exciting game, obviously couldn't get those critical hits with RISP. Flush it and win tomorrow
Lost opportunities.
Some batters failed with risp.
Why not House for Vivas..
Dylan Crews gets to bat against righties based on his 1st round pedigree; why not Brady House? Can’t be worse than Vivas

They must have all gotten new video games at Christmas in July yesterday then stayed up late playing those games cause they were sluggish tonight
Can’t seem to get 3 to 4 games over .500. Not quite good enough.

I just want to compliment that excellent photo.

At least Vivas was batting 8th; I didn’t get having the right handed, light hitting Tena in the 3 slot.
