Bit of a regression tonight, with only 3 of the 6 runs earned. Maybe they should all stay in a hotel and be bussed in for the game like they're on the road.

I was thinking they should switch dugouts and see if that helps.

Much better idea than sacrificing chickens to Jobu.

Or drinking his rum!

Misiorowski was really impressive, and hopefully he doesn’t miss much time. A 94.2 mph changeup is basically a fastball for MLB pitchers. I liked the patience the Nats showed and the way they tried to run up his pitch count. Sometimes that’s all you can do when a pitcher is having a dominant night.

Would be nice to have Jake Bennet in the rotation. As for Irvin- 4 runs in 5 innings is still essentially a 9 ERA.

A little off-topic but relevant to the Brewers' pitcher's pitchspeed: Nats tv broadcasts do not flash the pitch speed (or type of pitch too). Is there any way, Mark Zuckerman, you could raise this issue? I watch but often don't listen to the play by play. When I do, I don't hear them, at least on tv, routinely or often report pitch speed.

I just watched the bottom of the first from tonight’s broadcast, and they had the velocity in the lower right corner of the scorebug. It didn’t specify the type of pitch, but it did show the mph.

One alternative is to use the MLB app and follow along in GameDay.

I'm a dinosaur watching the broadcast on Cox Contour. The lower right hand corner of that indicates both the speed and type of pitch briefly after the pitch is thrown. Same for home run distance and speed. I've had no problems with this method, incidentally.
