Shame to waste a solid start by Cade…. But it’s a real sign of progress by the team and Cade overall that, unlike a strong start by him a few weeks ago in a loss, it no longer is enough that he pitch well in a loss. The wins matter…

Yes, agree it’s just about winning as Herm Edwards once said. I always appreciated him for saying it just that simply and so pats on the back for moral victories.

Alcantara pitched well, and the Marlins continue to be a thorn in the Nats’ side.

Cavalli settled in after a rough first, and Schultz was excellent in relief. Lovelady may have been rusty, and Cole Henry may not be quite ready for prime time yet.

On the bright side, Mead’s numbers against right handers should put that concern to rest.

Lovelady may be back to his norm… he has pitched better than he ever has till recently.

Alcantara could be available at the deadline. Nats should pounce.

Just one of those games.

But I don’t know how much longer I can watch Jose Tena’s uncompetitive at bats. It’s getting to a point where it’s unwatchable. Vivas isn’t better either.

Tough game to watch.

It’s almost like the Fish are holding on to some incriminating pictures of us they threaten to release … lol … we can still take the series ….

I detest the Marlins so freaking much. An unserious franchise that always seems to have our number, no matter what.

If only Nunez could do whatever Young has done and show some of the little pop he showed last September, maybe the Nats could keep putting him out there. Obviously he can run and field. Too bad he overslid the base on his steal attempt, but he still leads the league

Last year, if memory serves me, Young overslid second a lot on steals going in head-first. When he reverted to feet-first, the overslides stopped.

Maybe Nuñez needs to consider that.
