I think it was the understanding between Trevor and the previous management team that if he signed here he'd be made a starter. I suppose that's what you'd call a "gentleman's agreement" but reneging on it would have been a Red Flag to anyone else considering signing with the Nats.

The pitching and defense were both really good throughout this series, and today was especially impressive considering it was a bullpen game. They covered all nine innings without walking a single batter. With some of our old bullpens, it seemed like walking somebody was almost a requirement. 😂 It’s amazing what a professional major league bullpen can do. I just hope the current management takes that lesson to heart. This was a really well played series all around.
It was Will Dion who Keibert described as having a "funky" approach.
I knew he wasn't a big guy but I had no idea that he's 5'8" I think it was Dave who said Dion told him "I've heard every possible joke about my height but if you've got a new one, bring it on!"

One thing I noticed == it's a lot better with the pitch clock speeding things up. They do give the detail on every pitch and I was amazed at Williams' success with his 88 mph 4-seamer.
Ever use the GameDay 3D? It's behind the regular GameDay and you have to have a pretty strong connection, but it basically incorporates shots from TV cameras, represented by video game-like figures.

No Peacock/NBCSN, just Nats TV on Cox cable, which, of course, didn't carry it today.
My wife has Peacock for stuff like figure skating, Wimbledon etc etc so I'm the beneficiary.

MLB lists Dion as 5'10" LOL. I think they probably have Altuve as 5'10" also (just kidding).

What a difference a week makes! While Lord has been the one consistent in the bullpen all year, today's other three pitchers were not here a week ago.
