Keibert went 3 for 4… 2 doubles and a homer. Finished the day with a gatorade bath. Not a bad day in the office.

KEIBERT RUIZ LEGACY GAME

Keibert Ruiz . . . I'm gonna go eat some crow.

What a great day for him. And I thought it was pure class that he gave credit to the hitting coaches and the work they are putting in with him.

Same seats for Miami

the bullpen is really rounding into shape. I think we are close to having the right group of guys.

Box score has Ruiz with 4 RBI? Still a great game. I can't find anywhere where he had 3 extra base hits in one game. He has hit 2 HRs in a game before.

I’m pretty sure just a rare mistake by Mark and/or the headline writer. I was at the game, keeping score, and it was four RBI (as his game story actually recounts). One with the first double (Young was off from first on the pitch to avoid the DP and came around to score/throw was up the first base line/a good one might’ve had him), two with the second double (including Young again) and the solo shot into the pen to reestablish the lead. And just saw where Jessica Cammarato’s game story on MLB.com is headlined “Ruiz’s 4 RBI day propels Nats to first home series win.”

In the past 2 days, Nats catchers caught so many baseballs thrown so hard at them that they ended up catching fire! 🔥🔥🔥

Apparently the opening blowout loss Tuesday night was not a portent of imminent doom after all.

Given the performances this week of Cavalli, Mikolas, Millas and now Ruiz, I've decided that the 2026 Nats are a social science experiment where the Nats' hitting and pitching is randomly generated and they're observing us to see how we attempt to make sense of it.

Yeah, something like that. They should call Nats Park the Petri Dish, because there is a whole lot of experimenting going on.

The RBI have been spread around pretty evenly, outside of Wood and Abrams. Lately it feels like everyone is contributing. This team is still scoring runs at a pace that seems to exceed the individual talent. Maybe it’s a little bit of Gestalt psychology, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

Good win when your starter didn't have his best stuff. Butera used his BP just well enough to bring home the win.

Off topic but maybe time for Cabrera in Fredericksburg to move up to Wilmington? His stats are amazing.

Yeah, I miss some more info about the minor leaguers.

He’s one of the players the Nats got in the Gore trade, and he’s showing real power. The issue is there’s an outfield logjam ahead of him. Wilmington already has Petry hitting well and Green still getting chances as a former first rounder, they won't give up on.

For now, Cabrera gets to play every day in Fredericksburg. If Crews moves up from AAA, maybe that starts some movement throughout the system.

I thought Perry played mostly 1st base?

A glimmer of the hope that used to surround Keibert and earned him an early extension. When he’s on, which is rare, it’s fun to watch.

Ok, who needs Riley Adams now 😂😂😂

Another Nats win means we sleep a little better. (According to my mom -rip).

These guys aren't good enough to score this many runs. And yet they do. Weird.
