For the first time this season, a Nationals position player has gone on the IL.

The Nats placed Drew Millas on the 10-day IL this morning, revealing the catcher suffered a fractured left index finger prior to the All-Star break. They also announced reliever Max Kranick was activated off the 60-day IL, but they’ll still need to add another catcher to their MLB roster before Friday night’s second-half opener.
