There's no hotter hitter on the planet right now than Luis García Jr., who on Sunday single-handedly lifted the Nationals in Baltimore

BALTIMORE – As he stood inside the Camden Yards clubhouse, dressed for the team’s flight to Boston, Luis García Jr. was asked about the T-shirt he was wearing with a French phrase in big, bold letters: “LE MONDE EST A VOUS.”

“I don’t even know what it means,” the 26-year-old Dominican said with a laugh.

It means “The world is yours,” Luis. Which is entirely true right now.

There isn’t a hotter hitter on the planet than the Nationals first baseman, who over the last seven days went 10-for-19 with two doubles, six homers, nine RBI, three walks and a 2.170 OPS that sounds like something you’d find on a video game. And with his best game to date Sunday – two homers, a double and five RBI – García led the Nats to a 6-4 victory over the Orioles to clinch another road series and prove once again the resilience of this team that just keeps shrugging off bullpen blowups with bounce-back performances.

What does it feel like to be on that kind of sustained heater at the plate?
