Wood coming through is not a surprise (that Pitt pitched to him was a surprise). Orlando was a surprise (at least yesterday). He clearly is imposing and has the stuff. Maybe the new guys in town can harness his talent and show we have a new reliable arm in the 'pen
I just hope they keep Ribalta around after the puzzling reacquisition of Lovelady yesterday. Much more promise with the kid rather than the guy who keeps getting DFA’d.
Getting a win after a blown save is ridicules. Just as baseball has a rule that you have to pitch 5 innings to start a game to get a win they should have a rule you can't get a "vulture" win after you blow a save. Let the official scorer pick the winner. He can pick anyone even the pitcher who blew the save if he pitches more than one inning.

One of the subsections has the key when starter isn't awarded the W. Rule allows for who pitched "most effectively."
