Why why why why why why why is Chaparro at 1ST and not Ortiz why why why why why why is Vivas still on the roster ? And I sure hope that Dylan Crews boned up on what a STRIKE ZONE LOOKS LIKE
I can live with this lineup and hope they can do damage against the left starter. Then, they can bring in the other productive lefties and get to their mets bullpen. Either way, I'm hoping for some good 6 - 8+ runs and some quality pitching to get a series tying CURLY W!! GO NATS!! PS Thanks for removing that other comment about why, why, why. Much appreciated. Seems to only post when the Nats aren't doing well or before the game even starts.
They are facing a lefty starter, which they have a better history with. When the mets bring in a righty reliever, there is a good chance we'll see at least Abi. It will be interesting to see how it shakes out. If they are in a Nats uniform, I am rooting for them!
I'd forgotten about Finnegan so I checked in on his stats this year. 50 games, 3.49 ERA, 2-0 won-loss record. Though his WHIP is the highest of his career. Nats got two prospects for him that are down in AA and lower. I have to imagine that if we had held onto him for another year that our hometown team would have been in better position right now.

Because the guys making the decisions think that's the best way to go. Of course, I hope Vivas stays on the bench today.
Chaparro is at 1B because they are facing a lefty on the mound.
Yeah I know that is the reason but I am saying that it is no longer a good reason
I only "liked" this for the second sentence:))

It is not removed! I unfortunately do see it but am no at all interested in this person's attention seeking negativity. Ignore their posts.
It is quite possible they are already on my ignore list.
How do you do that?
Click on their name. Then click on the 3 horizontal dots, and select "block."
Thanks
Crews at leadoff is simply wacko!
I never would put him there. Not a high contact hitter or adept at getting walks.
Right you are!!
Hope Lord can go at least 4 innings! And I hope they use the stronger BP arms.
Not looking likely right now…
When this bad a start happens - is a bad warmup at work? Or what could it be? This is one of the worst starts of the year…
Oh well
Dylan seems more suited to not batting leadoff.
Go Mr. Lord, rooting for you.
Hope Mr. Wood will back back by next weekend in Miami
Thou Mr. CREWS is dynamic on the base paths
Hard to judge with such a limited sample size . . .
Send him down to Costco. 😎
Crews, Chaparro, and House? 🫠
Hopefully they don’t go a combined 0 for 9.
House has been hitting pretty well recently. Crews should not be in the starting lineup!
Fair. 2 for 9 then. 😂
Yes, sit Crews and Vivas.
I used to be totally down on Chappy but he’s been decent for awhile now too, so he deserves a chance. But bet we see Ortiz today.

If anyone is watching MLB TV, weird seeing Tanner Rainey and Kyle Finnegan in Detroit's bullpen. Memories...
They can keep RaINEY FOREVER, but We need Finn again:))
I see what you did there!

Crews, can you take a pitch? Sheesh.
Please
Especially when it is outside the zone.
Unfortunately, not a quality AB by either Crews and Chappy. At least House stayed in the zone.
At least Brady made contact? Yikes. That was a brutal top of the first.
Mark, what does Butera say when anybody asks him why Crews is leading off?
Ugh. Two walks to start the game for Lord.
I cannot stand watching a Nats pitcher who can’t find the strike zone. No excuse for throwing balls.
Good lord, this is not a good start to the bottom of the 1st.
C'mon Brad, let's go.
Hopefully right to House for a DP!
