If you mean tomorrow's game, you won't be seeing Cade. Its a BP game. Cavalli pitched his final tune up yesterday, in fine fashion I might add. We won't see him again until the season opener at Wrigley. Then the following Tuesday in Philly and then make his home debut in the Sunday matinée against LAD in the final game of their opening home series.
If he doesn't hit, he won't come back unless there's an injury. Can't imagine there's a timeline at which they'll just bring him back up, irrespective of how he's hitting.
I also suspect they will want him hitting consistently well for a few weeks, before he gets that call. The evaluation of his success will also more likely depend on the statcast rather than just the game results as they will want him doing well against multiple types of pitches from righties and lefties and not just getting lucky facing a series of pitchers throwing him stuff he does better with.
So. No official announcement, but the channel guide has the game on Thursday on channel 1468 on Fios. Not sure if this is the out of market game and will be blacked or the local feed for Nationals.tv and the MLB Extra Innings channels.
Right. I think this is the placeholder for the Nats. As reported in numerous outlets, we won't get any word until the 11th hour. Maybe even the morning of the first game!
We are underway here in Baltimore, and we've got some news: The Nationals are acquiring infielder Jorbit Vivas from the Yankees for pitching prospect Sean Paul Linan, a source confirmed. Vivas, who has minimal MLB experience with New York, is a left-handed-hitting second and third baseman who is out of options. For what it's worth, so is Jose Tena. So, you wouldn't think there's any way the Nats would keep both guys on the Opening Day roster, barring something else being in the works. I'll have more in my postgame report.
That's pretty interesting. I don't think they make that trade unless they think he has a higher upside than Tena. I agree, unless they have some other things in the works.
The good news: Mitchell Parker has five strikeouts through two innings. The bad news: He's down 1-0 after serving up a towering home run to Colton Cowser.
The Orioles announcers have always been insufferable; Colton Cowser will be making $60M a year like Kyle Tucker cuz he hit a HR off minor league pitcher Mitchell Parker according to them
Nasim Nunez is becoming my favorite D.C. player.
Easy guy to root for.
That is a good AAA lineup! Let's hope the defense is a lot better. Go Mitchell!
Please don’t be the negative nanny on this board.
Totally!
Orioles looking for big things from Bradish.
Interesting. Sounds like there won't be any starting pitchers at the Homecoming Gala. There's definitely a new regime in charge!

Oh, you're right of course. Tomorrow is a bullpen game. I'll fix my original comment. Thank you!
I am surprised the GUESS when CREWS comes back game has not started, my guess is late April early May any longer and we really do have trouble

Hmmm. Pretty sure that's what I said. 😉
Nobody likes succinctness.
I'm looking forward to seeing how Parker does today, as well as the lineup and defense.
Nasim Nunez…. Best infielder on the team by far

Still no word on Comcast (not a surprise) but looks like the Nats may land on Channel 844 there. Note I'm Comcast MoCo.
The 844 is still on the Channel guide with the same message HOPING TO KEEP Nationals on Xfinity

All I know if they don;t put it on I am canceling cable for good
It'll be on, CB, it'll be on.
Man that is some snark coming off these MASN mouthpieces

Mitchel Parker shows why he is at AAA now
Is that because he only struck out 5 in 2 innings
No that he suddenly gave up TWO HOME RUN BALLS ahead in the count
1-0 Birds. Cowser solo shot.

I love the Ks! Not so much on the two HRs. The proverbial hanging slider.

I think I'd even prefer Frannie!
Henderson with a solo blast to CF. 2-0.
two true outcome day for Parker so far
